Chance Replaces Fortuna as Title Sponsor for Czech Soccer Leagues

The Czech soccer landscape is set for a change as the Ligové Fotbalové Asociace (LFA), the body governing the nation's premier men’s soccer leagues, has announced a call for bids to become the new title sponsor for the 2024-2025 to 2028-2029 seasons. Currently, the sponsorship rights are held by the Czech betting company Fortuna, which has been the primary sponsor since the 2018-19 season.

This opportunity extends not only to the 16-team top league but also to the Czech men's second division. The process began with the tender being officially opened on March 1, and the deadline for submission of proposals is set for March 22. The LFA aims to finalize the sponsorship agreement by the end of April.

Fortuna has been contributing approximately CZK 80 million ($3.4 million) annually under the current agreement. It is noted that Fortuna's existing contract includes a matching right clause, allowing them the option to retain sponsorship by matching the highest bid received.
