Bicycle and Sporting goods manufacturers from Taiwan are increasing their market share in exports to Poland. In 2013 Bicycles, parts, accessories and components manufactured by Taiwan companies accounted for 5.4% of all exports from Taiwanese companies to Poland with sporting/fitness goods at 3.8%. Poland is the 6th largest economy in the EU, but its Taiwan’s 9th largest EU trade partner so there is room for improvement and opportunities for Taiwan companies to develop their business in the Central European developing sports and bicycle equipment market.

The European union is the Taiwan’s bicycle industry biggest market, which represents over 56% of all export volumes. Another increasingly important and growing export market is Russia  which purchased 50 000 bikes in 2013 valved at € 10 million euros.
