Skate shop retail staff in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Netherlands competed in a skate battle contest through the 2014 Van Shop Riot. The series honors the roots of Skateboarding, promoting independent skate shops across Europe. Slovakia and Czech Republic skate shop staff went to war on boards on May 17th, with staff from StreetMarket CZ coming out on top. May 18th saw the Netherland teams facing off, where Burnside Skate Shop emerged victorious. More teams from across Europe will be competing throughout the summer. The winners from each country will meet for a battle royal in the European Final.
