Bosch eBike Systems Projects Sales Increase for 2020

The e-bike market has been posting record sales in many countries, which is expected to have a major impact on the performance of Germany-based Bosch eBike Systems. According to CEO Claus Fleischer, who spoke at a sneak preview for their new 2021 model, the company hopes to match their sales figures for 2019, but may actually surpass them.“The pandemic has had consequences for the bicycle industry as a whole,” Fleischer said, referencing how 2020 was particularly promising before the lockdown hit. As the situation has eased, however, sales have been booming. In fact, many Germany dealers were sold out of products for most of June and July.
Since COVID heavily stressed the need of individual mobility, more people have been and are projected to consider e-bikes as their main mode of transport.
