Brompton wins prestigious London business award Having manufactured in West London since the company was first founded in the 1970s, Brompton Bicycle were pleased to take home the award for Manufacturing and Engineering at the London Loves Excellence Awards. Having manufactured in West London since the company was first founded in the 1970s, Brompton Bicycle were pleased to take home the award for Manufacturing and Engineering at the London Loves Excellence Awards. Present to collect the award were Managing Director Will Butler-Adams and Global Brand Manager Ross Hawkins. Ross said of the accolade: “Our bikes are made for cities so it’s appropriate that we manufacture them here in London, one of the world’s great capitals. It is what has allowed us to remain agile as we grow, to keep our production standards high and our brand respected internationally. To be recognised for our achievements in the city we all call home is an honour and as with any award, it is a team effort and all the staff at Brompton should be proud of what we have achieved.” The ceremony was held at the Marriot Hotel, Grovesnor Square.
