Decathlon continues expansion in Central Europe

Decathlon, well-known French retailer, has continued its plans to expand in Central Europe by announcing its second store in the German capital and 28th store in Germany overall. It is set to be a bumper year for Decathlon who have already announced plans for two more stores in Germany this year, Kaiserslautern and Landshut-Ergolding, as well as another in 2017 based in Wuppertal.
The company seems to be experiencing success in their expansion plans in Germany as well as outside of the country after also opening a store in one of the most popular shopping streets in Palma de Mallorca. The site, which is also popular with German travellers, has a floor space of just over 200 square meters.
