The popularity of darts as a sport and leisure pursuit has never been stronger in CEE, proof of this is the record number of participants from Central and Eastern Europe taking part in the 2023 World Darts Championship.

Out of the field of 96 taking part in 2023 World Darts Championship 6 players are from CEE, this is a record number, never before have so many participants from the region competed at the World Darts Championship.

The best ranked player from the CEE region is Krzysztof Ratajski from Poland who is seeded at 18, 3 other players qualified via the Pro Tour Karel Sedlacek (Czech Republic), Boris Krcmar (Croatia) and Adam Gawlas (Czech Republic), and the last 2 of the 6 CEE darts players qualified through the international qualifiers they are Sebastian Bialecki (Poland) and Vladyslav Omelchenko (Ukraine). Vladyslav Omelchenko is the first ever player from Ukraine to take part in the World Darts Championship.
