Hungarian investor buys historic hotel in Satu Mare
2018-02-06 source ownSatu Mare is a city in North-western Romania with a dynamic rate of development, and its economic development rate is regarded as one of the highest in the region. The city is believed to offer investment conditions that are European standards and opportunities that are very promising but are yet fully exploited.
The city plans to expand its range of luxury Hotels and resorts, recently a Hungarian investor who is a member Prime Minister Viktor Orban goverment bought the Dacia Hotel in Satu Mare. The hotel which was built at the beginning of the 20th century has been abandoned and now in a messy condition for many years.
In the time past, The Romanian state had been offered the opportunity to buy the hotel, which is seen as a cultural heritage monument of national importance, but the Government declined.
Presently, it is now owned by a Hungarian millionaire Tamás Leisztinger. The new owner plans to renovate and revive the hotel; he also plans to rename the Hotel to its original name which is Pannonia.
