Santa Cruz Bicycles, which was acquired by Pon Holdings earlier this summer in July, has taken control of its distribution in the German and Austria markets, the company declared this week.

Santa Cruz will continue with distribution of its Santa Cruz and Juliana brands to additional Central European countries, including the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as the Benelux countries, beginning Sept. 1. The distribution is going to be carried out "in close coordination" with Pon's Derby Cycle.

Santa Cruz was previously distributed by Shock Therapy in Germany and Austria, ID Sport, in the Czech Republic, and Bikes UnLtd  in Slovakia. GjovalinPepaj, previously of Shock Therapy,is joining the sales and marketing team for Santa Cruz in Germany.

"I'm excited by the opportunity to reinforce the quality of service and support for Santa Cruz and Juliana in Germany," said Gjovalin. "My transfer into this new role provides knowledge, together with familiarity with our retail partners, I look forward to welcoming enquires from new as well as present dealers at our booth during Eurobike."

Race Company continues to be Santa Cruz's exclusive distributor in France. Race Company will surrender distribution to the Benelux region to Santa Cruz Bicycles on Sept 1st.

"Santa Cruz Bicycles wishes to thank our previous distribution partners, Shock Therapy in Germany and Austria, ID Sport in the Czech Republic, and Bikes UnLtd in Slovakia for their hard work in bringing the Santa Cruz and Juliana brands to the market, and products to our customers over the years," the company declared.

Santa Cruz Bicycles is a manufacturer of top end mountain bikes based in Santa Cruz, California USA. They sponsor the Santa Cruz Syndicate, a downhill racing team. The company moved their headquarters in early 2013. On July 3, 2015 Santa Cruz bicycle was sold to Pon Holding Group.
