Just a year ago, Stadium, the Swedish sports store retailer opened its first ever store outside any Scandinavian country in the downtown of Hamburg. An online store is scheduled to be launched by stadium soon after the Inaugural anniversary.

The first anniversary of Stadium Germany was celebrated on September 25th.  For the whole week, Stadium made several offers available in its two outlets in Hamburg.

When the online store is launched, German consumers will be able to order their goods directly from Sweden, which will be delivered to them in Germany.

Stadium offers different brands, starting from its own brands of Everest and SOC, it also offers other top class sporting goods brands such as Nike, Reebok, Adidas and Under Armour. Any goods ordered from Sweden are delivered free of charge to the stores, while home delivery costs EUR 4.95.

Two brothers, Ulf and Bo Eklöf are the private owners of Stadium. Currently, the supposedly largest sports store retailer in Scandinavian consist of about 150 stores in Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Germany. The store has been in existence since 1987. Generally, Germany is known to be the largest market for sporting goods in Central Europe.  The strategy often employed by Scandinavian businesses is to offer outfits for the whole family at a good price. So far, stadium has two branches in Germany, the first store is located in downtown of Hamburg. Six months later, as a result of success recorded in the flagship store; stadium opened the second branch in Altona, Hamburg.
