Adidas denies new deal with German soccer team

Adidas’ chief executive Herber Hainer has publicly dismissed a rumor which claims that the Three Stripes could be prepared to agree to a 10-year deal worth €1 billion with the DFB, the German soccer federation. Even though it is clear that the value of the German national teams has not lowered considering that the men secured the world cup in addition to the women winning the European championship, the company clarified that it was not prepared to agree a sponsor partnership at any price.
Presently, Adidas pays the DFB €25 million a year as the federation’s official sponsor – which reaches €250 million for the entire 10 years. The present agreement ends after the next world cup to be held in Russia in 2018.
