Schwan-Stabilo post healthy sales boost for 2014-15

The Schwan-Stabilo group, a leading sports brand in central Europe, saw their overall sales figure increase by 7.4% over the last year increasing their total sales to just over €600 million. A major contributing factor to this was the growth of its outdoor division, including Deuter and Ortovox, which saw an increase of nearly 15% in its yearly sales to over €110 million.
Deuter seemed to be the main contributor as they grew considerably, mainly through its distributors in China, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Ortovox also experienced growth mainly in the German-speaking countries.
The Schwan-Stabilo group have gone from strength to strength in the outdoor market as well as diversifying into cosmetics and writing materials. They have also acquired Maier Sports and Gonso, whose sales turnovers were not included in these figures.
