2016-01-11 source own

After first starting in 2008, work has finally been completed on the CKK Jordanki concert hall in Torun, Poland. The location is a UNESCO world heritage site and was designed by the well-known Spanish architects Fernando Menis Arquitectos. The venue is set to host its first event as a high-profile opening ceremony is set to be broadcast on live television.

The new cultural venue is located in a riverside park between the new urban area of the city and the old medieval town and is set to be used for a number of different shows and events including musicals, theatrical shows and operas. The unique design includes a concrete element that can be lifted higher or lower depending on the show to affect the acoustics offering different sounds and making it adaptable and open to a number of different art styles.
