Better Logistics and storage options for Derby Cycle

Derby Cycle has announced an agreement with Hellmann Worldwide Logistics which will see the company look after the logistics for the German bicycle manufacturer. Emstek is the home of the new warehouse to be used by Derby Cycle which is thought to hold around 150,000 bicycles. The news is said to be big news for Derby Cycle as it will allow them to service over 5,000 dealers all around Europe from the warehouse.
New storage concepts will be used to reach maximum efficiency and the logistics company have said that they will be able to deliver no less than 4,000 bicycles every single day. Sea freight imports will also be handled by Hellmann along with journeys between the warehouse and Derby Cycle’s production facilities. The new warehouse has around 20,000 square metres of space and will be open for use next July.
