Poland demand for sports supplements grows

2016-02-05 source own
As a result of increasing demand from consumers, Poland has experienced around a 10% increase in its sports nutrition market last year alone to reach 126 million PLZ. This included the opening of new health food shops and specialists as well as a rise in sales for the already established chained sports retailers including Decathlon.

The leading company in the ever-growing market remains as Olimp Laboratories Sp zoo who now have a nearly 50% of the market share. Protein products including tablets, powders and bars are all included in their product range and have all increased in popularity over the last 12 months. The increase in brand recognition has also allowed the company to boost their sales abroad as well as diversify into weight management and dietary supplements.

The fitness trend that is spreading across the country is expected to continue which will see these figures rise even more and will also be aided by the increasing number of bodybuilders in Poland. Companies will also look to make the most of the upward trend by constantly improving products, developing new products and also opening more gyms and sports centres.
