Fabian Giger, the Swiss rider, is the newest addition to the Polish team and is set to show off his skills on XC routes. Giger, who won the bronze medal at the European Olympics in Baku, will be joining KRT from Colnago-Sudtirol MTB where he enjoyed a very successful 2015 season. Aside from his accomplishments in Baku, Giger also finished in 4th place during the XC European Championships as well as finishing in a respectable 6th place in the World Championships. This next step for the talented Swiss rider will be a huge one for his career development.

Fabian Giger has said “I am very excited to start racing in Kross Racing Team colours in the 2016 season. The plans for this year are very interesting and I am looking forward to training sessions with my teammates. For me, this team has an optimal number of contestants and staff members. Everyone is very professional and motivated. I am also happy to compete alongside Maja Wloszczowska, who is one of the best cyclists in the world. I’m hoping to learn a trick or two. This season is very important to me and I will put every effort to stay at the top of the rankings, taking the podium as often as possible. Of course, the Olympics, which are going to be held in August, are the most important goal. I would like this race to be my best performance of the season. I want to place in the top five in World Cup and World Championship races.”

KRT has already said that they will be providing Giger, along with teammates Maja Wloszczowska, Anna Szafraniec-Rutkiewicz and Bartlomiej Wawak, the best possible bikes for the upcoming season as they look to hit their goals. The partnership will benefit both parties as the rider will benefit from having the largest Polish bicycle manufacturers behind him but he will also be able to help the team and provide advice moving forward.
