DFB-Pokal signs new sponsor

DFB-Pokal, being the biggest domestic cup competition in Germany, is often highly sought after when it comes to sponsors and another lucky company is now affiliated with the football competition. It will be the insurance group, Ergo, whose name will be seen across the advertising boards during games from the start of the 2016/17 season.
The deal, which will last for three seasons, will see Ergo stand alongside six other companies as a main sponsor of the competition: Continental, Engelbert Strauss, Bitburger, Deutsche Post, Targobank and Volkswagen. In addition to their name being shown on the advertising boards, Ergo will also be able to use the DFB-Pokal logo on its products as well as benefit from hospitality packages and a number of other rights around the stadium on particular match days.
