Increase in CE sales for Asics

Asics, sporting goods manufacturer, has posted a 7% increase in sales in the first quarter of 2016 alone with performance in Russia improving dramatically. As a whole, the company grew in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East as they saw their revenue increase to around €250 million.
The biggest increase, in terms of countries, was seen in Russia where a three-figure growth was recorded from January to March alone. Double-digit growth was seen in Sweden, Poland, Germany, France, and South Africa. The lifestyle and running sectors seemed to be the main contributors to Asics’ success with decent growth seen in both areas when compared to the same time frame in 2015. With many countries placing a strong focus on running of late, running shoes saw significant rise in sales.
