Media Markt, retailer of electronic products, has announced plans to open two new stores inside of the existing branches of Tesco in western Hungary. In Veszprem, an 800 square metre space will be available for Media Markt whilst the Tesco in Gyor will see 600 square metres given to the company.

Originally based in the UK, Media Markt is a Hungarian subsidiary of the giant supermarket chain and it is thought that HUF 440 million will be spent on the two stores. In addition to this, Tesco has also said that a 75-seat restaurant will be added to the Gyor store.
