Puma enjoys strong third quarter

As we head towards the end of the year, we start to hear how companies performed within the third quarter of 2016 and it was good news for Puma this week who thanked brand ambassadors and new product lines for an 11% growth in sales. Now enjoying a period of popularity partly thanks to the likes of Usain Bolt, Puma fell just short of the €1 billion mark for sales and saw growth in every region in which they operate. With an increase of 12.2%, the US proved to be the strongest region for Puma.
In terms of individual products, shoes were the most popular segment with nearly 17% more sales than the same period in 2015. Currently, shoes account for around half of all the company’s sales at around €460 million. For overall sales, figures have risen by 10% over the past nine months and now show €2.67 billion.
