Victoria-Jungfrau opens Nescens spa

Located in Interlaken, Switzerland, the Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa has now debuted the long-awaited spa utilising skincare from Nescens. Previously, there had been a spa at the hotel as the name suggests but this will be the second following in the footsteps of a similar dedicated Nescens spa at La Reserve Geneva which opened earlier this year.

Hans-Peter Veit, Spa Director, is overseeing the new spa having joined from the Head of Spa position for Oetker Collection. Included at the location, visitors can make use of nearly 60,000 square feet of space which includes 16 treatment rooms, relaxation areas, tennis courts, saunas, steam rooms, and a fitness area. For a duration of four to seven days, the spa will be offering various different ‘better-ageing’ programmes with help in changing personal habits.

In the aforementioned programmes, the treatments on offer will be combined with fitness and nutrition as well as being personalised for each visitor. At the spa, a number of highly-qualified therapists, specialists, and coaches have joined the team. Ultimately, this fits in with Nescens long-held belief that treatments need to be coupled with healthy living in order to stay in shape for a prolonged period of time.

When visitors first arrive, they will be greeted by an osteopath, doctor, and a dietician who will go through an overall health assessment. After the introduction, a physical evaluation will take place in order to come up with a preventative plan offering advice relating to fitness and nutrition. In a typical day, visitors will take part in personalised treatments and physical activities which includes body wraps, body contouring, better-ageing massages, balneotherapy treatments, exfoliation, and more. In terms of food, a healthy meal plan will be enjoyed.

Located in the mountains of the Bernese Highlands, the Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa is a five star resort overlooking the Jungfrau.
