The EBRD Partners with Credit Europe To Expand Access in Finance for romanian Businesses

To continue supporting the local small businesses, the (EBRD) European Bank for Reconstruction and Development provides €40 million funding in the three branches of the Credit Europe Bank. It is the latest partner lender of EBRD in Romania.
The Credit Europe Bank of Romania was recognized in 1993. The bank is providing services to the many individuals in Romania especially to those individuals who have businesses. The bank offers banking products to small & medium-sized companies and even large businesses in Romania. It’s strategically focusing on the development and growing of its business with the micro, small and the medium-sized enterprises. The goal of the bank is to brace its position in the market by delivering valuable products in this sectors.
The EBRD director for EU Banks, said that the financing of the bank will support the Credit Europe Bank in Romania in order to increase its funding base and to expand its funding sources. The loan in EBRD will ensure a long-term finance that will really support the businesses and the development plans of the Credit Europe Bank in the micro, small & medium-sized enterprises and as well as contributing to the expansion of those MSME lending markets in the country.
The owner of the Credit Europe Bank is the Credit Europe Bank NV based in Netherlands. It is part of the Fiba Holding AS Turkey. In Romania, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is the premier institutional investor. It invested more than €7.3 billion for over 380 projects. For other source of finance, it mobilized €14 billion or more than that.
