Multicycle acquired by Kross

Based in Poland, Kross the largest bike manufacturer in the country have now acquired Multicycle who have become known for their e-bikes in recent times. According to Kross, all production of trekking, urban, and e-bikes for the company will remain in the Netherlands.
In a statement, they said “Production and continued sales of the brand’s popular bicycles is expected to recommence in the upcoming weeks. Some of the company's employees have already begun work. Even though the new legal entity is not assuming the undertakings of the predecessor, the new owner of Multicycle is planning to activate dealer services, which will be available for new and existing customers.”
Furthermore, Kross noted that this is an important ‘in’ for the attractive market holding urban bikes. With the new distribution network, this can be paired with the technological know-how and experience to provide an exciting opportunity for the business. Currently, over 300,000 bikes are produced by Kross every single year and these reach around 40 countries. Additionally, they have moved into sponsorship in recent years after teaming up with Maja Wloszczowska as well as Jolanda Neff (current World Champion in mountain biking).
Within their products, they manufacture electric, urban, mountain bikes, trekking, and even children’s models. In a continuation of the statement, they said “Kross has built its market stronghold over the last 27 years, thanks to successful marketing activities, including the creation of the professional cycling team, Kross Racing Team – currently ranked amongst the top three teams worldwide. Polish athlete, Maja Włoszczowska (2016 Olympic Game silver medalist) is the teams figure head. However, the addition of current UCI World Champion Jolanda Neff for the upcoming season is another milestone for the team and brand. Her decision to join the team and represent the Kross brand is another clear signal of Kross strength as a major player within the bicycle industry.”
