International Judo Federation Receives New Sponsor

Just in time for the 2017 World Championships for Judo, the International Judo Federation (IJF) has announced a brand new partner in the shape of Suzuki. Taking place in Budapest towards the end of August, the name of the event will change for branding to the 2017 Suzuki World Judo Championships.
Furthermore, seven of their vehicles will be supplied to Hungarian judokas. So far though, no financial terms or agreement details have been released. Held every two years, this is actually the second time in four years the tournament finds itself in Hungary after the 2013 tournament in Budapest before a break in 2015 as the tournament travelled to Astana in Kazakhstan.
