Kross’ Carbon Frame Facility Set for Testing

2017-09-29 source own
Located close to Warsaw in Poland, Kross has been in the news recently for their carbon frame production facility. Now, as we reach the end of 2017, the first frames are going into testing and this is a huge step in their overall goal of becoming the main producer of high-quality carbon bicycle frames in Europe.

Kross, currently the largest bicycle manufacturer in Poland, has started the project entitled ‘Innovative Pilot Line for the Development and Production of Carbon Fibre Composite Bicycle Frames’. With Mazovian Voivodeship at the helm at the Regional Operational Program, the European Regional Development Fund is co-financing the project until at least 2020.

In the years ahead, the industry is expecting more carbon facilities but Kross is very much leading the way. Just recently, a representative said “Testing will not only rely on laboratory results, but also on the feedback from the professionals of the Kross Racing Team. The new carbon facility is aimed at giving us an edge over our continental competitors and help to increase exports significantly to nearby markets such as the Czech Republic, Germany, Spain and Italy.”

Currently, the goal for Kross is to ‘conduct extensive industrial research’ which they hope will allow them specialised production technology. With composite frameworks and unique features, Kross wants to become an independent producer of this new level of quality with the proud tag of ‘Made in Europe’.

With three different production lines in their Polish factory, Kross is certainly making progress in the market and one line is dedicated solely to the ‘Made on Demand’ range.
