The Morele Group which is part of the portfolio of companies owned by the MCI Capital Funds has announced its successful acquisition of Sklep Presto. pl, which is the second largest online sports equipment store in Poland. This investment is part of Morele. Net’s strategy to extend the groups business services to include new categories beyond consumer electronics. Currently, it offers more than 800 thousand products in 8 commercial sectors.

Sklep Presto.pl stands out as one of the leading online retailers of sports and outdoor equipment in Poland.
In 2005, the entire Polish market for sports equipment was valued at PLN 1 billion. This value rose to PLN 8.7 billion in 2016. Sports apparel is among the top 10 products purchased online; it is also among the 10 product categories for which a ROPO (Research Online Purchase Offline) consumer behavior is observed. Considering the apparent potential in this sector, Morele.net imitated its business expansion plans to include sales of sports equipment.
Michal Pawlik, CEO, Morele.net in his statement said, “The acquisition of Sklep Presto.pl is another step in the expansion of our range. Over the last period, we have been doing this both organically, by setting up our stores, and by acquisitions. Sklep-Presto.pl became fully integrated with the Morele platform in January this year. This is an ideal example of our ability to quickly merge. At the same time, our experience and flexible system help us to achieve a high level of effectiveness.” He also added that the company plans to increase its revenue to achieve PLN 1 billion at the group level which will mark a significant improvement regarding the average margin.

The Morele Group has been active in the markets since 2004. From the statistics, about 2.5 million unique customers visit its official website monthly, and over 5,000 orders are placed daily. The group currently has a number of online stores which represent the different sectors in its portfolio. This is in addition to its thriving online business selling consumer electronics. The Morele Group also manages the following platforms: Amfora.pl, Budujesz.pl, Digital.pl, Hulahop.pl, Motoria.pl, Meblujesz.pl, Pupilo.pl, Sklep-Presto.pl/trenujesz.pl and Ubieramy.pl. across these platforms, a total of 800,000 SKU is offered, which is mostly available within 24-hours. In 2017, the group recorded revenue of PLN 750 million.
