Decathlon opens first standalone store in Russia

Decathlon has announced some of its expansion plans in Russia. The organization already has 54 stores currently operating in the country, and by 2025 it plans to have 120 outlets strategically located in Russia. This expansion plan includes the establishment of shopping centres and standalone units. Decathlon has also confirmed its plans to achieve the launching of 10 new stores in Russia by the end of 2018; this includes the newly opened branch in St. Petersburg. Over the next years, we expect to see the new stores opened all across the country in what is being described as an aggressive growth plan aimed at reaching more customers in Russia.
