Budimex, a renowned construction company, has recently signed a contract for the reconstruction and expansion of the swimming pool and sports and entertainment hall at the Szczecin Sports House. This modernist sports complex will be equipped with new functionalities and will be available to the residents of Szczecin within three years.

Mariusz Hurylski, the Director of the Northern Branch of Budimex SA, expressed his delight at the opportunity to contribute to the transformation of this historically significant facility for the people of Szczecin. He emphasized Budimex's commitment to supporting educational and sports initiatives and their focus on the social impact of their investments. With their extensive experience in general contracting for similar projects, Hurylski is confident that they can deliver a modern facility that will foster passion and provide exceptional sporting experiences.

As part of the project, Budimex will be responsible for demolishing the existing 25-meter swimming pool and the hall before constructing new facilities. The modernized Szczecin Sports House will feature a multi-purpose sports and entertainment hall capable of accommodating nearly 1,500 spectators. It will host regional, national, and international sports competitions involving city club teams. Additionally, the complex will include two boxing rooms.

The new swimming pool will have a 30-meter length with a dedicated area for local training. Lifeguard rooms, toilets, and a warehouse will also be incorporated. Furthermore, the investment will involve the construction of stands for swimming competitions, accommodating 246 people, and the renovation of a small swimming pool with a paddling pool.

The project will also encompass the renovation of the existing main hall, the development of surrounding lands, including exits, access roads, and technical infrastructure, as well as the establishment of connections to external networks.

The parameters of the new Szczecin Sports House are impressive, with a building volume of 75,133 m3 and a total area of 10,526 m2. The building will have a height ranging from 11.45 to 17.60 meters. Green areas will be incorporated, with 1,957 m2 of existing green space and an additional 745 m2 of newly designed green space. The complex will consist of one underground floor and four above-ground storeys.

With Budimex's expertise and dedication, the residents of Szczecin can look forward to a modern and vibrant sports complex that will not only cater to their passions but also elevate the city's sporting profile.
