The very first app for sports field bookings has been developed by BallSquad – a new Polish startup company.The new App allows its users to search for sports fields and make bookings, making it so much easier to arrange a sporting event in their local area. Currently the system is only based within Warsaw.The idea for BallSquad came from 2 sports enthusiasts based in 2 different cities. As sports enthusiasts, and with one of them being a professional basketball player, they understood first hand that the main issue facing people wanting to book sports events was not a lack of available space but being unable to find the information about availability.
They decided to fill this gap by providing a single marketplace where people could find the information and make bookings. Walid Barsali, CEO, said that when they developed the App BallSquad did not aim at any one particular group choosing instead to open up sports to as wide an audience as possible. The APP has been available since May 2018.
