Centerbridge Partners is set to acquire Global Parks Poland, the entity behind Suntago, Europe's largest water entertainment park situated in Wręcza near Warsaw. The U.S.-based firm has submitted a request to the OCCP for approval of this acquisition.

Suntago's facilities include a tropical water park and Suntago Village, which features about 100 rental cottages. The water park section of the complex, boasting 18 pools covering a total area of 3,500 sqm., was inaugurated in 2020 at an approximate cost of EUR 150 million. Currently spanning 20 hectares, there are plans to further expand the complex, including the addition of a four-star hotel. Suntago is conveniently located about 50 km southwest of Warsaw.

In addition to this acquisition, Centerbridge Partners intends to purchase several related entities of Global Parks Poland, including Moyome, Thunders, Global Park Horizon, and Big Project Media, all of which play roles in managing the park.

Centerbridge specializes in managing investments across private equity, private credit, and real estate globally. In May of the previous year, the firm formed a joint venture with Robyg, aiming to invest in the residential real estate sector.
