FIBO Köln Plans Digital Event for 2020 Exhibition

2020-08-01 source own
FIBO Köln recently announced that it would not follow through with the early-October live event as scheduled, instead embracing a digital exhibition due to the COVID-19 pan-demic. The announcement by Reed Exhibitions came as a surprise to many, especially af-ter FIBO Köln pushed back their April exhibition to a date deemed safe by many analysts.

The decision has already been met with blowback from some exhibitors, many of whom think that the shorter time gap between the October and April shows will leave them less time to follow up and convert their sales leads. Moreover, this now puts two FIBO events within a six-month time frame.

According to Hans-Joachim Erbel, CEO of Reed Exhibitions, "we had hoped we would be able to get back on track…after the months of lockdown. Unfortunately, this will not be the case."
