HERVIS Opens 2nd Express Store Concept in Austria

Hervis, who is a leading Austrian sporting good dealer, had a successful opening of its second Express store concept in Austria capital Vienna. The concept presents a multichannel concept retail store which is linked online. The initial pilot for this concept was launched in Prague in the Czech Republic in 2014.
Hervis’ great idea is to link offline and online sales so therefore gearing the Express stores six-member team to offer the full online range of outdoor products, fashion and sports equipment in store. So Large items such as skis or bikes are offered and sold, but not on site but through store tablet’s. Customers can send their order online, and then the company will have it delivered to home or desired branch.
It's going to be popular as many Sporting Goods Consumers tend to be very tech savvy, so will enjoy the benefits that online and offline shopping provides. One of the most popular ways of shopping or purchasing items or equipment is through the “click and collect”, wherein the customers can order online without. The items will be delivered to the desired branch or location of the customer. The goods are tried and tested and so payments are made individually—in the store or online.
According to Hervis CEO Alfred Oak leaf, the lively Wiener Wetbahnhof is definitely suited to the Hervis Express format. He also added that some of the locations would require special shop concepts.
