Recently, there has been a number of rumours surrounding Compact Dynamics GmbH and this all came to a head this week after Schaeffler, German e-bike parts maker, along with Semikron International GmbH, announced that they would be purchasing 51% of their shares. Furthermore, the partnership between Semikron and Schaeffler could run deeper after the announcement of new power electronics systems. Launched last summer, the FAG Velomatic has made Schaeffler a big name in the e-bike market as it includes an automatic gearshift system.
