Poland climbs up the World Prosperity Index

International think-tank the Legatum Institute has just published information that Poland has risen from 34th (in 2012) to 31st place in the global prosperity index in 2013. There are 142 countries that account for 99% of the world's GDP in this ranking.

On the base of the index safety and security and personal freedom are the main assets of the country.
Norway, Switzerland and New Zealand took the first, the second and the third places respectively in this report.
Poland’s Central European neighbours in the region, Slovenia and the Czech Republic, took 24th and 29th places. Estonia is 32nd and Slovakia is 35th.
