Hamburg-based Peter Möhrle Holding (PMH), which focuses on corporate and real estate investments, is strengthening its bicycle market activities. It’s newly founded Bike Holding PMH is taking a stake in BC GmbH & Co.KG, the parent company of bicycle online shop pioneer Bike-Components.

No further details about the value and/or type of investment (minority/majority stake, etc.) have been given at this moment.

BC founding-duo no longer on board

The entry of PMH and the associated founding of the Bike Holding has also led to some personnel changes at the well-positioned bicycle online-seller Bike-Components, which claims to be “one of the leading online mail order companies for bicycle parts in Europe”. On 30 September Marcus Wenkel and Klaus Hoenig – the two founders of parent company BC – left the company. They founded the company in 1997 and it went on to make a name for itself in 1998 as one of the first bicycle online-stores.
