According to an official announcement, we could see Go Sport Polska subjected to a takeover attempt very soon as Sportmaster Operations make the application to UOKiK (Polish competition authorities). The statement reads ‘The planned merger will result in the acquisition of sole control over Go Sport Polska by Singapore-based Sportmaster Operations and the acquisition of all the shares and votes at the company’s meeting of stakeholders.’

Over the years, Sportmaster has built a fantastic reputation right across Eastern Europe. Today, they have a presence across Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and more. Additionally, they have also moved into China and other areas of Asia.

Meanwhile, Go Sport Polska is a subsidiary of Groupe Go Sport which itself is a holding of Euris SAS; they operate in more 20 countries. For Go Sport Polska, they can be found in 16 Polish towns and cities with a total of 33 retail stores.
