Growth of Import of Bicycles from Taiwan
This year (2015) the import of bicycles into the EU looks to be growing. Based on the data provided by the Taiwan Bicycle Association (TBA) in the first four months of this year, the export of bicycles from Taiwan to the EU totalled 883,000 units. This figure shows a 25% growth when compared with the same period in 2014.
Germany is the largest market in Central Europe for bicycles made in Taiwan, followed by Poland, which experienced the most significant percentage growth rate for importing complete bicycles, components, and bike accessories in 2014.
