Terme Snovik, a boutique spa located in north-central Slovenia near Kamnik, is embarking on its most ambitious project to date with the construction of a four-star Kneipp NaturHotel, valued at €22 million. This major investment will significantly enhance the spa’s capacity and elevate its reputation as a premier wellness destination.
A Green Oasis Near Ljubljana
Situated just 40 kilometers northeast of Ljubljana, Terme Snovik currently offers accommodation in eight apartment houses and a holiday camp. The new Kneipp NaturHotel, featuring 72 rooms, will expand its offerings, catering to the growing demand for high-quality wellness retreats in Slovenia.
Inspired by Sustainability and Naturopathy
True to the spa’s ethos, the Kneipp NaturHotel will reflect Sebastian Kneipp's philosophy, rooted in holistic healing and natural wellness. The hotel will be built with a focus on sustainability, aligning with Terme Snovik’s commitment to eco-friendly practices.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony on 26 November, Katarina Adam, director of Terme Snovik, described the project as a center of wellness, relaxation, and well-being. She emphasized its potential to benefit the local community by extending the tourist season, enhancing Kamnik’s profile as a green destination, and fostering stronger partnerships with local suppliers.
Kamnik Mayor Matej Slapar highlighted the importance of the project, calling it one of the largest investments in the municipality. He noted that the hotel will bring significant economic and tourism benefits to the region, bolstering its appeal as a travel destination.
Completion Set for 2026
The Kneipp NaturHotel is scheduled to open its doors in 2026, further solidifying Terme Snovik's position as a leading wellness and sustainable tourism provider. With this expansion, the spa is poised to attract more visitors seeking eco-conscious and rejuvenating experiences in Slovenia’s stunning natural surroundings.
