New Moscow complex for Bulgari

Bulgari, the luxury hotel chain, has announced that they will be opening a new hotel in Moscow. The site, which is set to open in 2019, will be set in the historic location that used to home a noble family as well as musicians from the famous Conservatory P.I. Tchaikovsky.
Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners, who are currently working on a new Bulgari site in Dubai, are set to take charge of the architectural side of proceedings in Moscow. In addition to this, a Russian architectural company, Atrium, will also lend a helping hand. The complex will include townhouses and residencies boasting a combined contemporary and traditional theme.
Citterio noted “The reconstruction of a whole block in Moscow’s historic centre is an operation of great cultural and economic value to the city. The project will consist of the conservative restoration, the harmonisation of variously dated facades, the renovation of the internal buildings and the valorisation of the splendid internal courtyard.”
The architecture companies involved are said to be taking inspiration from the surrounding area and want to use this to represent everything that the hotel has to offer. Furthermore, they are also trying to create a unique feeling by mixing modern and traditional methods, designs and materials. The patios of the Italian Renaissance Palaces will be recreated in the inside courtyard and will also include living space outside.
The planned site is just minutes from the famous Red Square as well as the Kremlin making it a perfect stopping point for tourists who choose Moscow as their destination. A 300 square metre suite will be the highlight of the 65 rooms on offer and will include a rooftop with spectacular views of the Kremlin and the other Moscow rooftops. A large spa and half-sized Olympic swimming pool will also be found in the hotel along with a restaurant and bar. Storm Properties, and more importantly Alexey Bogachev, are developers for the project and are acting as partners.
