Five-Star for TCR Advanced Currently, BikeRadar is seen as one of the biggest websites for bike reviews; the results are important for both consumers and companies alike.![]() Currently, BikeRadar is seen as one of the biggest websites for bike reviews; the results are important for both consumers and companies alike. For TCR Advanced, it was good news after the website posted a five-star review for the lightweight composite road bike. During the review, the website commented on the history of the bike and the innovation of TCR over the years.
According to the reviewer, Simon Withers, the TCR Advanced is “a fast-handling and versatile machine for the speed merchant and distance rider. The TCR is one of the longest-standing designs in road cycling, and though a lot has changed since its birth in the mid-1990s, its creator, British designer Mike Burrows, would probably still recognize his work.” |

Also making the selection, the Reign Advanced Enduro Bike has clearly impressed the experts this year.
In the list, Dirt said “Once it was a privateer’s workhouse, seen at local races up and down the country with a solid spec and great all-round ride, but now it really has bloomed into one of the best race bikes in the world.” Over time, this model has evolved many times over and works hard to meet Giant Factory Off-Road Team Pro Dh racers’ needs. What stood out? In the piece, Dirt paid special attention to the Maestro Suspension. |

Product testers and editors of magazines seem to be loving the new product that has been complimented for its ventilation, comfort and extra features.
Editors of the Outsider Magazine said “Let us count the ways we love this helmet. Miles of rear and side coverage, a fully-adjustable visor that accommodates goggles, a built-in GoPro mount, a lightweight body and the killer price.” The good news doesn't end there though as BikeRadar also had some good things to say about the helmet as well as adding it to their buyers guide for trail helmets; the Rail product achieved 5-stars as well as being named ‘Best Overall’. Editors of BikeRadar said “Lots of vents and clever internal channeling meaning it’s cooler than a lot of bike lids that we’ve tested and we found the shape to be highly comfortable too. All in all, the Rail has become our go-to lid.” |

2016 looks like it’s going to be a fantastic year for technologies within the cycling world, new ranges are going to be introduced to improve the Giant Hybrid Cycling Technology line-up for the year ahead. The existing products will be joined by full suspension and hardtail bikes to expand the options available to customers around the world. ‘Giant’ plan to introduce ‘Full E’ and ‘Dirt E’ to run alongside their existing city, commuting and leisure models. ‘Road E’ comes with an enhanced disk brake system allowing real on-road speed along with the performance boost of ‘Hybrid’, which means longer distance cycling and hills that are a lot easier to ride. ‘Giant’ have deeply researched the best ways of maximising range when cycling and so have considered the distance each full battery charge can go on the different ‘modes’ available to the cyclist. The ‘eco’, ‘normal’ and ‘sport’ modes can be used to assist the cyclist and allow the user to choose a mode best suited to the journey and to each individual situation. ‘Giant’ have also found out what the minimum range is on a full charge of each of their products; the 300Wh, 400Wh and 500Wh for absolute worst case scenarios. |

Propel Advanced SL Wins Velo magazine Aero Road Test! Team Giant-Shimano rider John Degenkolb wrapped up a successful week at the Paris-Nice stage race on Sunday, winning the green jersey awarded to the points leader of the eight-day WorldTour race in France.![]() Team Giant-Shimano rider John Degenkolb wrapped up a successful week at the Paris-Nice stage race on Sunday, winning the green jersey awarded to the points leader of the eight-day WorldTour race in France. The speedy German was aggressive all week, and in addition to the green jersey he also won a stage, netted three podium finishes, and wore the yellow leader’s jersey at the “Race to the Sun.”
The team had to work for the jersey on the last day of racing, helping Degenkolb win the intermediate sprint on the 128km stage, which finished on the Promenade des Anglais in the seaside city of Nice. “Winning the green jersey is a nice success for the team and a reward for all the hard work here at Paris-Nice,” Degenkolb said after Sunday’s final stage. “The guys controlled it well before the first sprint and those three points were very important.” Indeed, Degenkolb’s dash to the front on his Propel Advanced SL proved to be the difference, as he won the overall points classification by 2 points. Now the 25-year-old German looks ahead to the spring classics events, starting with a big one this week: Milan-San Remo, the first of the "Monument" classics, takes place Sunday in Italy. “I’m happy with my form ahead of the classics, and the team have done a really good job in selecting the best race program to get us in the best possible shape for the classics,” he said. |
